Life coaching is a specialized service designed to help clients improve and enhance any area of life. It is a powerful and effective approach for achieving a variety of personal and professional goals.
Life coaching is characterized by a unique communication process designed to promote clarity, motivate learning and promote positive action. It also involves a self discovery process that is purposeful for transforming limited self concepts and mindsets, helping clients to expand their vision of what is possible.

What Can You Expect From the Coaching Experience?

A coaching session can be conducted in person or over the telephone, and between-session e-mail progress updates are encouraged.
Although it is a collaborative partnership between coach and client, it is the client who determines the focus of conversation and specific goals to accomplish.
As your Inspired Life Coach, I will listen, ask questions, brainstorm, offer suggestions and observations, challenge, encourage and support you along the way.

Coaching Versus Therapy

Coaching begins with an evaluation of your current life conditions so that you can set pertinent goals to achieve in the future. There is an emphasis on taking action to improve circumstances and enhance performance. Coaching is said to focus on "what next" rather than "why."
Therapy helps to promote insight. It is purposeful for healing emotional pain and for resolving past issues that impinge upon life satisfaction and functionality. Therapy is also the treatment modality for disorders like depression and anxiety.
Although in my coaching role, I may incorporate certain skills and techniques from my experience as a psychotherapist, it is only used to augment the coaching process rather than to treat psychological issues. Coaching is not psychotherapy, nor a substitute for professional counseling.
